Challenge
This project involved three phases including renovations and additions to the high school, stadium bleacher renovation, and a new Academic Athletic Center, that all had to be completed while the school stayed operable.
Solution
The $7.8 million renovation and addition project to the existing high school in Zachary, LA, was broken into phases so that the school could remain operable throughout the school year. The school addition included new classrooms, labs, entry, administration offices, industrial arts classrooms, and a JROTC building. We also laid new site pavement and reorganized parking areas, bus route, and carpool lines.
The Academic Athletic Center was a $3.8 million addition to the campus. The facility included classrooms, a weight training room, athletes’ and coaches’ shower rooms, and coaches’ offices. The bleacher renovation project included adding bleachers to the site, as well as general site improvements. Through this project, all components of the facility were brought up to comply with the Americans for Disability Act (ADA) codes.
